Many interior styles adapt and branch off to include mixes of other popular interior styles. Boho scandi decor is a great adaptation of this.
This style still keeps the clean lines and light colour palette of Scandi design but adds another level to the craftsmanship and design details.
The shapes are much more organic and inviting, which softens some of the harder lines, creating a more welcoming and casual space.
Boho Scandi mutes the traditional colours and patterns of boho, but it allows for the textures and craftsmanship details to be appreciated more. it

The beautifully detailed cushions and throws above from Next Home pull through the boho vibe well whilst still maintaining the neutral colour palette of Scandi style.
To create a Boho Scandi style, use decor items that have shapes that flow, organic shapes can mimic the shapes of nature. You could add light earthy colour tones to inject some contrast to the white walls and pale wood tones. But the main element is texture/pattern, make sure you have plenty of both.
Natural Living Decor

The above mood board takes the main style features from Scandi decor and adds a rustic twist. You can see large pampas grass pieces being used as decorative features, and more homely, comforting items being incorporated.
Here, it is about taking the look further with a little bit more of everything. More furniture, more decor items and more layers to the space.
This Natural Living Decor style is more homely by acknowledging that we have items in our homes that need stored, tucked away and also allowed to be displayed purely because we want to see them.
Touches of black detailing is a great way to give a nod to the industrial design style which really works well with natural finishes.

If you are looking for a softer look, blush pink or lighter tones of colours work very well with light wood tones and accents of black.
Screen dividers are also making a come back alongside rattan this year, due to divided space being needed to make our opening plan living more functional in the current times of the pandemic.
This natural living style is a great look for creating a relaxing and comfortable space whilst adding beautiful pieces to your home.
I really love the black unit and the fun pineapple laundry basket by Habitat.

If you want to add a touch of metallic whilst keeping it subtle, have a look at this table lamp from Next Home. It incorporates greenery into the design and would look great in many different home settings. They also have a version of this as a pendant, which looks stunning.
To soften any room that has a lot of wood finishes, the easiest way is to add a rug. This design by Next Home would look great in any of the looks that we have covered in the mood boards. It has muted colours, texture and a subtle pattern to complement a room rather than be the focus.
Industrial Scandi

Let’s call this style Industrial Scandi. It takes a blend of interior details from the Industrial style such as the black accents and wood details and the Scandi style with its clean lines and simple design.
Parquet flooring in the U.K is fast becoming the flooring trend of 2021 so it is no surprise to see it making its way onto our walls.
The beautiful colours through the wood allow you to bring more details of black into the space. This high street style for 2021 is heading down the industrial style route, but whilst softening its overall look with the rattan details and curved/organic shapes.
Greenery is key here to adding colour and a balance to the heavier industrial look. And as you can see, the furniture is still keeping its clean lines and craftsmanship whilst tweaking its colours and allowing the space to display your home decor items instead of hiding them away.
Pulling in earthy yellows and mustard, as well as navy blues work really well if your want a darker vibe to your space.
Botanical Living

Green in 2021 is going to be huge, some are even calling it the next big kitchen trend. Alongside, the amazing tropical and leaf patterns adorning my Instagram and this mood board showcasing high street finds, I can not wait to see more of this Botanical Decor style.
Injecting more colour and decorative items, as well as ensuring your plant game is on point will help you to create this look in your home. You can keep it subtle by adding detailed line drawings of plants or you can go full out with a feature (or more) wall of large bold leaf patterns.
Remember to add light wood furniture to break up the green and to tie in the harder finishes.
